A contact within the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) in Ghent told us most students are offered a room within the university dorms. At the end of August most of these rooms are occupied and ESN Ghent receives a lot of requests to help with accommodation. Most of these students are being redirected to our 'competitors', mentioned in The Market section. Many of these students are also referred to the existing Facebook group of “Te huur: kot in Gent”. These pages can often be chaotic and this might be a barrier for foreign students to find what they are looking for.
